Today's a "GOOD SISTER" Day

The 'YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO GET' has hit an all time high around here.  Luke has decided today that being a big brother is a "GOOD THING" and a task that he is certainly up to.  He has been kind, generous and has even shared Thomas the Tank Engine toys.  I am not sure if it is becuase Santa has made so many calls to Daddy on Daddy's cell phone calling Luke out on "BAD BEHAVIOR" or if he has decided that Maran is here to stay.  Either --- OR I will take it.  How nice it is to have some peace in the house....even if it is minute by minute.

Keep on Rolling........

Oh What A PERFECT Morning we Had!

I woke up early because I was being pushed out of the bed by two little ones.  I am not sure when one or both of them ended up with us but they did.  After showering (it was quite nice by the way to shower without wondering who was getting hurt or jumping on the bed) I got the lunches made, car packed up, me dressed and started a load of laundry.  I sat down at the computer and about twenty minutes later Snickerdoodle Luke is standing in the door looking at me.  He says the brightest "GOOD MORNING" and then we cuddle for a long time.  We then start to get him ready and he is such a sweetheart.  He is being very quiet as to not wake his sister and he is asking why she is still asleep. (Maran is always the first child up).  We finally have to wake her at about 8:20 am.  Luke gets on the bed and gently tries to wake her up.  She finally wakes and they start frolicking around like old lost friends.  We got out the door a little later than I wanted but we were still on time so it was all good.  I needed this "GOOD MORNING" with my son.  I feel like I have been lost from him lately since my time is now divided.  It was so sweet to get to talk to him about his upcoming day, the holidays that are fast approaching and the fruit roll ups that he wanted to share with his best gal Katie at school.  It was such an enduring time and one that I will always remember and cherish.  Oh how blessed we are to have children who love us no matter what crazy world we have been in lately.

Luke wants his own "TURF" Back!

The coolness of being a big brother is not so great any longer.  Sharing toys with someone that you now have to live with is not so much fun either.  Included in that sharing is seeing Daddy love on someone else which really has rocked The Snickerdoodle's world.  The competition for brushing teeth the best has even gotten old.  What's a Snickerdoodle Luke to do when this new sister whom daddy calls "Sweet Pea" is just always around?

Sharing is OVER RATED

Life for Luke is so drastically different now with a little sister.  The communication barrier still does not stop them from their yelling matches and fussing over a toy.  The above picture was taken on the night of our arrival home from China. (November 1, 2010).  The pitter patter and giggles are so abundant in our home.  Add some tears and screams and you have MR. SNICKERDOODLE & MISS SASSAFRAS frolicking IN LIFE'S DAILY ACTIVITIES!
